- Scabies:
- Apply thin layer and massage on skin on entire body except face
- Remove drug 8-12 hr after application
- Not 1st-line agent
- Head lice/ crab lice:
- Apply 30-60mL (max 60mL) on dry hair
- Leave on 4 min, lather, rinse, remove nits with fine comb
- One time application usually sufficient
Lotion/shampoo: 1% w/w
- After you wash your skin or hair, wait at least 1 hour before using this medication
- Apply ONLY to dry skin or hair
- Use only one application
Scabicidal agent
It is directly absorbed into parasites and ova, presumably stimulating their nervous system, resulting in seizures & death of parasite

WARNING
- Only for patients who cannot tolerate or failed 1st-line safer lice medication treatment
- Neurotoxicity, including seizures and death, has been reported with repeat or prolonged application and rarely with single application
