- Acne vulgaris:
- Apply every night at bedtime
- Reassess if no improvement after 12 weeks
Cream: 0.1% w/w + 1% w/w
- Apply thin film to entire face and other affected areas of the skin every evening after washing gently with non-medicated soap.
Adapalene: Retinoid. It binds to nuclear retinoic acid receptors, modulating cellular differentiation, keratinization and inflammatory processes all of which represent important features in the pathology of acne vulgaris.
Clindamycin: Lincomycin; It inhibits bacteria protein synthesis at the ribosomal level by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit and affecting the process of peptide chain initiation. It inhibits growth of Propionibacterium acnes.
