• Maintenance treatment in asthma:

    • Prior therapy with inhaled corticosteroids: Initially 80mcg BD
      • Max dose: 320mcg BD
    • Prior therapy with oral corticosteroids: Initially 320mcg BD
      • Max dose: 320mcg BD

Inhaler:

  • 80mcg
  • 160mcg
  • Actuate before use by pumping 2 puffs in the air before use.
  • Shake for 5 seconds before each use.
  • Prime inhaler again if not used for >7 days
  • Rinse mouth with water after use.

Glucocorticoid prodrug, converted to active ingredient des-ciclesonide. It has immunosuppressive properties and anti-inflammatory activity.
