- Maintenance treatment in chronic asthma (alone or in combination with a beta-2agonist bronchodilator):
- Adult: 1-4 puffs BD depending on severity
- Child: 50mcg BD.
- Max 200mcg/day
- Inhaler
- 50mcg/puff
- 100mcg/puff
- Actuate before use by pumping 2 puffs in the air before use.
- Shake for 5 seconds before each use.
- Prime inhaler again if not used for >7 days
- Rinse mouth with water after use.
- Taper to withdraw
