- Treatment of vaginal infections:
- Vaginally 1 pessary OD *12/7
- Pessary:
- 100,000 IU/35,000 IU/35,000 IU
- Used at night at bedtime
- Wear cotton underwear.
- Avoid vaginal showers.
- Avoid the use of tampons during the treatment.
- Do not discontinue the treatment during menstruation periods.
- The sexual partner may also be treated
Neomycin: aminoglycoside antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis leading to its bactericidal effect on gram-negative bacteria.
Nystatin: antifungal. It allows the destruction of some microscopic fungus blocks their growth
Polymyxin B: polypeptide antibiotic. It disrupts the outer cell membrane of Gram negative bacteria, binds and neutralizes lipopolysaccharide and inhibits respiration of Gram-negative bacterial cells
