Lidocaine: Local amide anesthetic. It facilitates an anesthetic effect by preventing pain signals from propagating to the brain and by aborting theirgeneration.
Tinidazole: Antiprotozoal. The nitro group of tinidazole is reduced in Trichomonas by a ferredoxin-mediated electron transport system. The free nitro radical generated as a result of this reduction is believed to be responsible for the antiprotozoal activity. These toxic free radicals covalently bind to DNA, causing DNA damage and leading to cell death.
Tioconazole: Synthetic antifungal agent with a high in-vitro efficacy to yeast and fungi. It is also used in some bacterial infections. It alters the permeability of the fungal cell membrane by inhibition of the ergosterol synthesis which leads to increase of cellular permeability and therefore to leakage of intracellular phosphorus compounds and potassium across the cell membrane.
