• Treatment of gout:
    • PO 1mg x1, then 1 hour later 0.5mg x1
    • Do not repeat within 3 days
  • Prophylaxis of gout:
    • PO 0.5mg OD/BD
    • Wait 12 hours after acute gout flare treatment before resuming prophylaxis

Tablet: 0.5mg

To be taken without regard to meals.

Antigout agent

It inhibits microtubule polymerization preventing activation, degranulation and migration of neutrophils which is related to the symptoms of gout.
