- Treatment of gout:
- PO 1mg x1, then 1 hour later 0.5mg x1
- Do not repeat within 3 days
- Prophylaxis of gout:
- PO 0.5mg OD/BD
- Wait 12 hours after acute gout flare treatment before resuming prophylaxis
Tablet: 0.5mg
To be taken without regard to meals.
Antigout agent
It inhibits microtubule polymerization preventing activation, degranulation and migration of neutrophils which is related to the symptoms of gout.
