• Allergic conjunctivitis:
    • 1%: 1 gtt BD/TDS/QID
    • 2%: 1 gtt BD
  • Eye drops:
    • 0.1% w/v
    • 0.2% w/v
  • Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops and wait until 10 min before inserting contact lenses.
  • Discard 4 weeks after opening bottle
  • Eye drops should be used before eye ointments
  • If using more than 1 eye drop, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart

H1 receptor antagonist

It inhibits histamine release from mast cells and its effects on conjunctival epithelial cells.
