- For ocular inflammation with superficial bacterial infection or risk:
- Adults & children >2 years: 1-2 gtt to affected eye(s) every 4-6 hour
- May use hourly in severe disease
- Adults & children >2 years: 1-2 gtt to affected eye(s) every 4-6 hour

- Adults & children >2 years: Apply ribbon (0.5 inch) to affected eye(s) in conjunctival sac every 4-6 hours or as adjunct to suspension
Eye drops/ointment: 1mg + 3500 IU + 6000 IU
- Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops and wait until 10 min before inserting contact lenses.
- Discard 4 weeks after opening bottle
- Eye drops should be used before eye ointments
- If using more than 1 eye drop, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart
Neomycin: Aminoglycoside; it binds to bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis
Polymyxin B: Polypeptide; it increases cell wall permeability thereby causing intracellular products to leak
Dexamethasone: Steroid; it prevents/reduces irritation & swelling by suppressing normal immune response, decreasing inflammatory mediators and reverses capillary permeability
