- Allergic conjuctivitis:
- 1-2 gtt in eye(s) PRN up to QID
Eye drops: 0.25mg/3mg
- Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops and wait until 10 min before inserting contact lenses.
- Discard 4 weeks after opening bottle
- Eye drops should be used before eye ointments
- If using more than 1 eye drop, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart
Pheniramine: H1 receptor blocker; it antagonizes histamine (H-1) receptors, reducing ocular pruritus and congestion (antihistamine);
Naphazoline: Alpha-adrenergic agonist; it stimulates alpha adrenergic receptors, reducing ocular congestion and redness (sympathomimetic)
