• Bacterial eye infections:
    • 1-2 gtt in eye(s) every 4 hours
    • Severe infections: 2 gtt in eye(s) every 1 hour until improvement

Eye drops: 0.3% w/v

  • Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops and wait until 10 min before inserting contact lenses.
  • Discard 4 weeks after opening bottle
  • Eye drops should be used before eye ointments
  • If using more than 1 eye drop, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart

Aminoglycoside

It binds to bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit thereby inhibiting protein synthesis
