- Elevated IOP in open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension:
- 1 gtt in affected eye TDS
Eye drops: 2% w/v
- Remove contact lenses before applying the eye drops and wait until 10 min before inserting contact lenses.
- Discard 4 weeks after opening bottle
- Eye drops should be used before eye ointments
- If using more than 1 eye drop, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart
Sulfonamide and carbonic anhydrase inhibitor
It reduces the secretion of hydrogen ion at renal tubule and increases excretion of bicarbonate, potassium, sodium and water, which in turn decreases aqueous humor secretion
