• Benign duodenal ulcers:
    • 800mg nocte * 4/12
  • Benign gastric ulcers:
    • 800mg nocte *6/12
  • GERD:
    • 800mg BD OR 400mg QID *4-12 weeks
  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome:
    • 400mg QID or more
  • Stress ulceration:
    • 200mg-400mg every 4-6 hours
  • Gastric acid reduction in obstetrics and in surgical procedures:
    • Initially 400 mg, to be administered at start of labour or 90-120 minutes before anesthesia, then increased if necessary up to 400 mg every 4 hours
  • Reduce degradation of pancreatic enzyme supplements:
    • 8–1.6 g daily in 4 divided doses 1-2 hours before meals
  • Dyspepsia, hyperacidity or heartburn:
    • 200mg STAT BD 30 minutes before meals
