- Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD), Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and acute enterocolitis:
- PO 1-2 tabs TDS/QID
Tablet: 5mg/ 2.5mg
- Taken before meals and at bedtime
Chlordiazepoxide: Benzodiazepine. It depresses all levels of CNS, including limbic and reticular formation, by enhancing gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) activity, a major inhibitory neurotransmitter
Clidinium: Anticholinergic agent. It elicits antispasmodic and antisecretory effects on the GI tract by antagonizing acetylcholine receptors

- Toxic megacolon
- Severe ulcerative colitis
- Severe respiratory depression
- Myasthenia gravis
- Avoid abrupt withdrawal
WARNING:
- Risk of addiction, abuse or misuse
- Concomitant benzodiazepine use with opioids may result in profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma and death
- Risk of dependence and withdrawal symptoms
