Calcium carbonate:It is a basic compound that acts by neutralising hydrochloric acid in gastric secretions
Sodium alginate: Used to encourage adherence of mixture to mucosa.
Sodium bicarbonate: It increases serum bicarbonate, raising pH and neutralises gastric acidity
