- Depression:
- Initially PO 20mg
- May be increased by 10mg/day weekly

- Obsessive-compulsive disorder:

- Initially 20mg, increased by 10mg/day weekly

- Panic disorder:
- Initially PO 10mg OD
- May be increased by 10mg weekly (target dose 40mg/day)
- Max: 60mg/day
- Social anxiety disorder:
- PO 20mg OD
- May be increased by 10mg/day weekly
- Generalized anxiety disorder:
- PO 20mg OD
- Initially 10mg
- May be increased by 10mg/day weekly

- Post-traumatic stress disorder:
- PO 20mg OD
- Initially 10mg

- Pre-menstrual disphoric disorder:
- CR: Initially PO 12.5mg OD
- May increase at 1 week intervals
- Max 25mg/day
- Moderate-severe menopausal vasomotor symptoms:
- PO 7.5mg OR CR: PO 12.5-25mg OD
Tablet: 20mg
- To be taken with or without meals
- Taking this medication with food may decrease nausea
- Taken in the morning
