- Hyperchlostestoremia:

- Patient should be on a standard cholesterol-lowering diet before receiving drug
- Administer >2 hours before or >4 hours after bile acid sequestrant
Ezetimibe: Lipid-lowering agent. It inhibits cholesterol absorption at small intestine brush border, decreasing hepatic cholesterol stores and increasing blood cholesterol clearance
Simvastatin: HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. It inhibits the rate-limiting step in cholesterol biosynthesis by competitively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase
