• Mild to moderate hypertension, when this is not adequately controlled by taking zofenopril alone:
    • PO 1 tab OD
  • Tablet:
    • 30mg/12.5mg
  • Can be taken with food or on an empty stomach, but always with some water
  • Can cause a positive anti-dope test

Zofenopril: ACE Inhibitor.  It acts primarily on the suppression of the plasma renin-angiotensin aldosterone system thus decreasing plasma angiotensin II concentration, leading to decreased vasopressor activity and reduced aldosterone secretion.

Hydrochlorothiazide: Thiazide diuretic. It inhibits sodium reabsorption in distal renal tubules, resulting in increased excretion of water and of sodium, potassium and hydrogen ions.
