- Essential hypertension in patients with secondary hyperaldosteronism

Dose:
- PO 1 tab OD
- May be increased to 4 tabs/day
Tablet:
- 50mg/20mg
- 50mg/40mg
- Best taken in the morning
Spironolactone: Potassium-sparing diuretic. It binds to mineralocorticoid receptors and promotes sodium and water excretion and potassium retention
Furosemide: Loop diuretic. It inhibits primarily the absorption of sodium and chloride in the proximal and distal tubules and in the loop of Henle
