- Hypertension:
- 1-2 tabs OD
Tablet:
- 10mg/12.5mg
- 20mg/12.5mg
- Should NOT be used as initial therapy
- Best taken in the morning due to the diuresis effect of hydrochlorothiazide (peaks in 4 hours)

- Hypersensitivity to ACEIs, thiazides or sulphonamides
- Co-administration of ACEIs within 36 hours of switching to or from valsartan
- Anuria or renal stenosis
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding (HCTZ dose >50 mg/day)
- CrCl <30
- Current or history of angioedema
- Valsartan
- Amikacin
- Lithium
- Erythromycin
- Halofantrine
- Pentamidine
- Terfenadine
