- Hypertension:
- PO 12.5 -50mg daily alone or in combination with other antihypertensives.
- Edema:
- PO 25-100 mg OD/BD. Not to exceed 200 mg/day.
- Diabetes insipidus:
- PO 100mg daily

- 50mg
Best taken in the morning due to its diuresis effect (peaks in 4 hours).
Thiazide diuretic.
It inhibits resorption of sodium and chloride at the distal convoluted tubule. Also enhance effects of other antihypertensives.
