• Hypertension:
    • Initially 2.5mg/6.25mg OD
    • Max: 10mg/6.25mg/day
    • Taper dose over 1 week to discontinue

Tablet:

  • 2.5mg/6.25mg
  • 5mg/6.25mg
  • 10mg/6.25mg
  • Taken in the morning before breakfast
  • If withdrawn prior to surgery, at least 48 hours should be allowed between last dose and anesthesia.
  • Therapy discontinuation should be gradual and patients advised to limit their physical activity during this period.
  • Discontinue immediately in patients with ischemic heart disease.
  • Do not administer calcium channel blockers and anti-arrhythmic agents IV during bisoprolol therapy.
