- Topical antiseptic and disinfectant used for:
- Minor cuts, wounds, abrasions, and burns
- Pre-surgical skin disinfection
- Hand hygiene products, soaps, antiseptic solutions
- Used undiluted or diluted depending on the formulation
- Apply 1–3 times daily to affected area (topical use only)

- 0.5%–5% in antiseptic creams, solutions, and surgical scrubs
- Common formulations: Dettol (contains 4.8% chloroxylenol)
