- Tablet safety not established in children < 12 years, therefore suspension best option for children < 12 years.
Thiazolide antiprotozoal.
Interferes with pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) enzyme-dependent electron transfer reaction essential to anaerobic energy metabolism.
