• Breast cancer:
    • IV 500 or 600mg/m² on Days 1 and 8 every 28 days for 6 cycles
    • Part of a cyclophosphamide-based multidrug regimen
  • Colorectal cancer:
    • Bolus: IV 500mg/m2/dose *1 on days 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 36 of 56-day cycle *4 cycles
      • Used with (levo) leucovorin
  • Infusion: IV 400mg/m2/dose *1 on day 1, then IV infusion 1200-1500 mg/m2 OD on days 1, 2 of 14-day cycle
    • Used with (levo)leucovorin with or without irinotecan or oxaliplatin
  • Gastric cancer:
    • 200-1000 mg/m²/day as a continuous infusion over 24 hours
    • Part of a platinum-containing regimen
    • Duration and frequency of each cycle varies based on dose and regimen
  • Pancreatic cancer:
    • IV 400mg/m2/dose *1 on day 1, then 1200mg/m2 per day IV infusion on days 1, 2 of 14-day cycle
    • Combination with leucovorin
    • Given for 12 cycles

Injection: 250mg/5mL

  • Toxicity may be reduced by giving the drug as a constant infusion
  • Warm to body temperature before using
  • Protect from direct sunlight
  • May also be administered intra-arterially or intra-hepatically
