- Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) with nasal congestion
- Relieves symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion
Dosage (Adults and adolescents ≥12 years):
- Fexofenadine 60 mg + Pseudoephedrine 120 mg (extended-release):
- Take 1 tablet twice daily (every 12 hours)
- Fexofenadine 180 mg + Pseudoephedrine 240 mg (extended-release):
- Take 1 tablet OD
- Fexofenadine 60 mg + Pseudoephedrine 120 mg (12-hour release)
- Fexofenadine 180 mg + Pseudoephedrine 240 mg (24-hour release)
- Take with water; avoid taking with fruit juices (e.g., grapefruit, orange, apple) as they may decrease fexofenadine absorption
- Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets
- Avoid taking close to bedtime (pseudoephedrine may cause insomnia)
- Fexofenadine: Second-generation H1 antihistamine with minimal sedation; blocks histamine receptors in peripheral tissues
- Pseudoephedrine: Alpha-adrenergic agonist; causes vasoconstriction in nasal mucosa, relieving congestion
- Together, they offer comprehensive allergy symptom relief, including nasal decongestion.
Fexofenadine:
- Headache
- Drowsiness (rare)
- Nausea

Pseudoephedrine:
- Nervousness
- Restlessness
- Insomnia
- Increased heart rate
- Elevated blood pressure
Combination:
- Additive CNS stimulation possible (especially in sensitive individuals)
- Severe hypertension
- Coronary artery disease
- Hyperthyroidism
- Narrow-angle glaucoma
- Urinary retention
- Use of MAO inhibitors within the last 14 days
- MAO inhibitors: Risk of hypertensive crisis
- Fruit juices: Decrease fexofenadine absorption
- CNS stimulants or decongestants: Additive effects with pseudoephedrine
- Beta-blockers: May potentiate hypertensive effect
