- Type 2 DM:
- PO 10mg/100mg OD
- The dose may be increased to 25mg/100mg OD.
- Max 25mg/100mg per day.
Tablet:
- 10mg/100mg

- Take orally once daily in the morning, with or without food.
- Hydration is important to avoid dehydration due to the increased urine output from empagliflozin.
- Empagliflozin (SGLT2 Inhibitor): It lowers blood glucose by inhibiting glucose reabsorption in the kidneys, promoting the excretion of glucose in the urine.
- Sitagliptin (DPP-4 Inhibitor): It increases incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP) which promote insulin secretion and reduce glucagon levels, helping to manage blood glucose.
