- Acute bronchitis

Adults:
- PO 150mg BD OR 300mg OD *5-10 days
Children:
- 6-40kg: PO 5-8mg/kg daily given in 2 divided doses
- ≥40 kg: PO 150mg BD
- Treatment shouldn’t exceed 10 days

- Taken on an empty stomach, at least 15 min before meals
Macrolide
It prevents bacterial growth by interfering with their protein synthesis. It binds to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and inhibits the translocation of peptides
