• Complicated UTI:
    • 400mg BD * 7-10 days 
  • Uncomplicated UTI:
    • 400mg BD *3/7 
  • Chronic relapsing UTI:
    • 400 mg BD * 12/52; reduced to 400 mg OD, if adequate suppression within first 4 weeks 
  • Chronic prostatis:
    • 400mg BD *28/7 
  • Gonorrhea:
    • 800mg STAT

To be taken with meals.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic.

It blocks DNA gyrase enzyme responsible for production and repair of bacterial DNA leading to bacteria death.
