  • Colorectal surgery infection prophylaxis:
    • Adults: IV 1g *1
    • >1 year old: 15 mg/kg/dose IV x1
    • Given 60 min prior

Injection: 1g

  • Infused over 30 minutes
  • Reconstituted IV solution may be either stored at room temperature and used within 6 hours or refrigerated, stored for up to 24 hours, and used within 4 hours after removal from refrigerator
