Dose:
Adults: IV/IM 2-4g (i.e. 1-2g per day cefoperazone) divided BD
Children: IV/IM 40-80mg/kg/day (i.e. 20-40mg/kg/day cefoperazone) in 2 to 4 equally divided doses.

Cefoperazone: 3rd generation cephalosporin with broad-spectrum gram-negative activity. Inhibits cell-wall synthesis by binding to 1 or more penicillin-binding proteins thus bactericidal.
Sulbactam: An irreversible inhibitor by covalently binding to β-lactamases, and prevents the enzyme hydrolysis of beta lactams
