DOSE:
- Adult: 250-500mg TDS * 7-10 days. Max 4g/day.
- 1 month-1 year: 62.5mg TDS. Max 1g/day.
- 1-5 years: 125mg TDS. Max 1g/day.
- > 5 years: 250mg TDS
MR tablet: 375mg, 750mg
Capsule: 250mg, 500mg
Suspension: 125mg/5ml, 187mg/5ml, 250mg/5ml
- To be given with food.
2nd generation cephalosporin.
It inhibits cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins hence bactericidal.
