• Acute pain or inflammation:
    • PO 20mg OD
    • Max 7-14 days
  • Chronic conditions (e.g., osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis):
    • PO 10-20mg OD

Tablet:

  • 20mg
  • Take with food or after meals to minimize GI irritation

NSAID.

It inhibits the enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, leading to a reduction in prostaglandin synthesis. This decreases pain, inflammation and fever.

  • Nausea

  • Abdominal pain
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhea
  • Indigestion
  • History of GI bleeding or peptic ulcers
  • Severe renal or hepatic impairment
  • Hypersensitivity to NSAIDs.
  • History of cardiovascular disease or conditions that predispose to heart attack or stroke.
  • Anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin)
  • Antihypertensives (e.g. ACE inhibitors, diuretics)
  • Other NSAIDs or corticosteroids
