- Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and perennial allergic rhinitis
- Treatment of nasal polyps in adults.
- Prevention of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children 12 years and older.
Dose:
- Adults and children (12 years and older):
- 100mcg sprays in each nostril OD
- Once symptoms are controlled, reduce to 1 spray in each nostril daily.
- Children (2-11 years):
- 50mcg spray in each nostril OD
Spray:
- 50mcg
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Blow your nose gently to clear your nostrils before using the spray.
- Avoid spraying directly into the eyes.
Corticosteroid
It reduces inflammation by inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory substances. It decreases swelling and mucus production in the nasal passages.
- Nosebleeds
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Nasal irritation or burning
- Hypersensitivity to mometasone or any of the excipients.
- Recent nasal surgery, trauma or untreated nasal infections.
- Ketoconazole
- Other nasal corticosteroids
