• Treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoids, such as pain, itching, inflammation, and infection.
  • Relief of discomfort from anal fissures and other anorectal conditions.
  • Prevention of infection in inflamed or damaged anorectal tissues.

Dose:

  • Cream or ointment
    • Apply a small amount to the affected area BD/TDS preferably in the morning, at bedtime and after each bowel movement.
  • Suppository:
    • Insert 1 suppository into the rectum up to BD/TDS as needed

Cream/Ointment per gram:

  • Cinchocaine 5mg
  • Esculin 10mg
  • Hydrocortisone 5mg
  • Neomycin 5mg

Suppository:

  • Cinchocaine 10mg
  • Esculin 20mg
  • Hydrocortisone 5mg
  • Neomycin 5mg
  • Swallow with water, preferably after meals
  • Cleanse the affected area with mild soap and water, and pat dry.
  • Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area and gently massage.

Cinchocaine (Local Anesthetic): Blocks sodium channels in nerve fibers, inhibiting nerve transmission, which provides relief from pain and itching.

Esculin (Venotonic): Strengthens capillaries and improves venous tone, reducing swelling and inflammation.

Hydrocortisone (Corticosteroid): Suppresses the release of inflammatory mediators, reducing swelling, redness, and itching.

Neomycin (Antibiotic): Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, helping to prevent or treat infections in the affected area.

  • Mild local irritation or redness at the site of application.
  • Temporary numbness or tingling in the treated area.
  • Mild skin dryness or peeling
  • Hypersensitivity to cinchocaine, esculin, hydrocortisone, neomycin, or any other components of the formulation.
  • Presence of fungal, bacterial or viral infections in the treated area without appropriate antimicrobial treatment.
  • Do not use it on patients with open wounds or damaged skin without medical supervision.
  • Not recommended for prolonged use due to the risk of skin thinning due to hydrocortisone

  • Aminoglycoside antibiotics (e.g., gentamicin)
  • CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir, ketoconazole)
