- Chronic gastritis, duodenal and gastric ulcer:
- Adults: PO 2g BD OR 1g QID 1 hour before meals and at bedtime *4-12 weeks
- Max daily dose: 8g
- Children*:
- 12 -14 years: PO 1g 4-6x a day
- 2-12 years: PO 500mg 4-6x a day
- 1 month-2 years: PO 250mg 4-6x a day

- Prophylaxis of GI hemorrhage from stress ulceration
- PO 1g six times daily
