Dose:
- Adults and children >12 years: PO 10-20 mL between meals and at bedtime
Each 10mL contains:
- Calcium carbonate: 400mg
- Magnesium hydroxide: 120mg
- Magnesium trisilicate: 50mg
- Simethicone: 83mg
- After taking the medication, drink a full glass of water.

- Calcium carbonate: It is a basic compound that acts by neutralising hydrochloric acid in gastric secretions.
- Magnesium hydroxide: It promotes bowel evacuation by causing osmotic retention of fluid, which causes the colon to distend with increased peristaltic activity; forms magnesium chloride when reacts with hydrochloric acid; causes water retention in stool, producing laxative effect.
- Magnesium trisilicate: It works by increasing the pH of gastric juice via a neutralisation reaction. It also precipitates colloidal silica, which can coat gastrointestinal mucosa conferring further protection.
- Simethicone: It alters gas bubble surface tension hence disperses and prevents gas pockets in the GI system
