Caffeine: Has vasoconstrictive properties which can help when treating vascular headaches

Codeine: Opioid agonist; analgesia. It blocks pain impulse generation and inhibits ascending pain pathways, thus altering the perception and response to pain.

Doxylamine: 1st generation antihistamine. Has sedative and antihistaminic action and provides relief in tension states when combined with codeine and paracetamol. It antagonizes the effects of histamine in the uterus, GI tract, large blood vessels and bronchial muscles

Paracetamol: Non-opioid, non-salicylate analgesic. It inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in CNS and may block peripheral pain impulse generation. Antipyretic activity as it acts on the hypothalamus as well.
