• Hyperacidity, GERD, peptic ulcers:
    • PO 1 cap OD in the morning *4-8 weeks
  • Prevention of aspiration pneumonitis:
    • PO 1 cap in the evening of the surgery and in the morning before surgery
  • Capsule:
    • 20mg/150mg
  • Taken 15-30m in before meals, preferably in the morning
  • Long-term use can cause weak bones and deficiency of minerals such as magnesium.

Rabeprazole: Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach by blocking the gastric proton pump.

Itopride: Prokinetic. It increases the level of acetylcholine concentration, increasing the peristalsis movement, thereby accelerating gastric emptying time and easing the movement of food through the entire GI tract. It also stops the sensation of vomiting/nausea by blocking the D2 receptors located in the chemoreceptor trigger zone.
