- Relief of pain, itching, and discomfort associated with haemorrhoids and anal fissures:
- Cream or ointment:
- Apply a small amount to the affected area BD/TDS preferably in the morning, at bedtime and after each bowel movement.

- Insert 1 suppository into the rectum up to BD/TDS as needed.

- Hydrocortisone 0.5% w/w or 1% w/w

- Cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water, and pat dry.
- Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area.
- Do not apply to open wounds, broken skin or infected areas without medical advice.
Lidocaine (Local Anaesthetic): Blocks sodium channels, inhibiting nerve impulse transmission, and providing numbing relief from pain and itching.
Hydrocortisone (Corticosteroid): Suppresses inflammation and immune responses by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, reducing itching, redness, and swelling.
- Mild local irritation or redness at the site of application.
- Temporary numbness or tingling in the treated area.
- Hypersensitivity to lidocaine, hydrocortisone, or any other components of the formulation.
- Presence of bacterial, fungal or viral skin infections in the affected area without appropriate antimicrobial treatment.
- Do not use on large areas of the body or under occlusive dressings without medical advice.
- Class I antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g., mexiletine)
- CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir, ketoconazole)
- Concomitant use with other local anaesthetics
