    • Adult: PO 120mg as a single dose.
    • Child: PO 3mg/kg as a single dose.
  • Ancylostomiasis, Mixed ascariasis-hookworm infections:
    • Adult: PO 2.5mg/kg as a single dose, repeated after 7 days in severe cases.
    • Child: PO 2.5mg/kg as a single dose, repeated after 7 days in severe cases.
  • Tablet:
    • 40mg
  • Suspension:
    • 40mg/5mL
  • Should be taken with meals to minimise side effects e.g. nausea.

An antihelmintic drug that possesses nonspecific immunostimulatory properties.

It works as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist that causes continued stimulation of the parasitic worm muscles, leading to paralysis and unable to attach themselves to the mucous membranes.
