- Haemorrhoids, anal fissures, and other anorectal conditions causing inflammation, itching, and pain.
- Relief from discomfort caused by proctitis and post-surgical anorectal procedures.
Dose:
- Cream or ointment:
- Apply a small amount to the affected area BD/TDS preferably in the morning, at bedtime and after each bowel movement
- Suppository:
- Insert 1 suppository into the rectum up to BD/TDS as needed
Cream/Ointment:
- Betamethasone 0.05%
- Phenylephrine 0.1%
- Lidocaine 2.5%
Suppository:
- Betamethasone 0.5mg
- Phenylephrine 10mg
- Lidocaine 60mg
- Cleanse the affected area with mild soap and water, and pat dry.
- Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area and gently massage.
Betamethasone (Corticosteroid): Suppresses the release of inflammatory mediators, reducing swelling, redness, and itching.
Phenylephrine (Vasoconstrictor): Reduces blood flow to the hemorrhoidal area, thereby decreasing swelling and discomfort.
Lidocaine (Local Anaesthetic): Blocks sodium channels in nerve cells, numbing the area and providing relief from pain and itching
