Activated Attapulgite: It works by adsorbing (binding) large numbers of bacteria and toxins and reducing the loss of water. It reduces the number of bowel movements, improves the consistency of loose or watery stools, and relieves the gastrointestinal cramping that often is associated with diarrhea
Furazolidone: a nitrofuran antibacterial agent and monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). Its bactericidal activity is based upon its interference with several bacterial enzyme systems; this antimicrobial action minimizes the development of resistant organisms. It neither significantly alters the normal bowel flora nor results in fungal overgrowth.
