• Active tuberculosis as part of multi-drug regimen containing rifampin, pyrazinamide and ethambutol:
    • PO 5mg/kg/dose OD *6-18 months. Max 300mg/day OR
    • PO 15mg/kg/dose 1-3 times/week *6-18 months. Max 900mg/dose
  • Latent tuberculosis regimen:
    • >30 kg: PO 300mg OD *9/12 OR
    • PO 900mg once weekly *3/12 (administer with rifapentine 900mg once weekly) OR
    • PO 5mg/kg/dose OD *3/12 (administer with rifampin). Max: 300mg/day
  • Prophylactic treatment in children:
    • PO 10mg/kg *6/12
  • Tablet:
    • 100mg
    • 300mg
  • Suspension:
    • 100mg/mL

Antimycobacterium

It inhibits mycolic acid synthesis, disrupting cell wall synthesis

  • Pyridoxine deficiency
  • Pregnancy (concomitant rifapentine use)
  • Isoniazid-associated hepatic injury history
