• Candidemia including intra-abdominal abscess, peritonitis, pleural space infections:
    • Day 1 LD: IV 70mg *1 infused over 1 hour
    • Maintenance: IV 50mg OD infused over 1 hour
    • Continue for 14 days after last positive culture
  • Esophageal candidiasis:
    • Day 1 LD: IV 70mg *1 infused over 1 hour
    • Maintenance: IV 50mg OD infused over 1 hour
    • Continue for 7-14 days after symptoms resolve
  • Febrile neutropenia:
    • Day 1 LD: IV 70mg *1 infused over 1 hour
    • Maintenance: IV 50mg OD infused over 1 hour
    • May be increased to a max of 70mg/day
    • Continue until resolution of neutropenia or if fungal infection found, continue for a minimum of 14 days or for 7 days after resolution of neutropenia and clinical symptoms
  • Refractory aspergillosis in patients intolerant of other therapies (e.g, amphotericin B, itraconazole):
    • Day 1 LD: IV 70mg x1 infused over 1 hour
    • Maintenance: IV 50mg OD infused over 1 hour
    • May be increased to a max of 70mg/day

  • Use reconstituted infusion solution within 24 hours if stored at room temp or within 48 hour if refrigerated at 2-8°C

It inhibits synthesis of 1,3-beta-D-glucan thereby inhibiting fungal cell wall synthesis
