- Hypertension:
- 25mg/15mg OD.
- Max 150mg captopril/50mg hydrochlorothiazide
Tablet: 50mg/25mg
- Recommended to be taken 1 hour before meals
- Less effective in African-Americans

- Hypersensitivity to drug/components
- Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides
- History of angioedema associated with ACEIs
- Hereditary/ idiopathic angioedema
- Pregnancy
- Breastfeeding (HCTZ dose >50 mg/day)
- Anuria
- Severe renal impairment

Discontinue as soon as possible when pregnancy is detected
