- Uncomplicated malaria:
- Adult: Loading dose: IM 300mg on day 1 then 100mg OD *4/7
- Children: Loading dose IM 3.2mg/kg on day 1 then 1.6mg/kg OD *4/7
- In severe malaria, loading dose may be increased to 500mg and treatment prolonged to 7 days
