Not to exceed 12 tablets/24 hours
Suspension:
- 400mg/400mg/50mg per 5ml
- 225mg/200mg/50mg per 5ml
- 300mg/150mg/125mg per 5ml
- 200mg/400mg/30mg per 5ml
Tablet:
- 200mg/400mg/30mg
- Avoid taking any other medicine within 2 hours before or after you take this drug
- Flatulence: Give 1-3 hours after meals and at bedtime
Aluminum hydroxide neutralizes gastric acidity and increases gastric pH. It binds to intestinal phosphate.
Magnesium hydroxide promotes bowel evacuation by causing osmotic retention of fluid, which causes the colon to distend with increased peristaltic activity; forms magnesium chloride when reacts with hydrochloric acid; causes water retention in stool, producing laxative effect
Simethicone alters gas bubble surface tension hence disperses and prevents gas pockets in the GI system
