- Erectile dysfunction:
- PRN: PO 5-20mg 1 hour before sexual activity. Start with 10mg

Phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) enzyme inhibitor.
Penile erection physiologically involves release of nitric oxide in the corpus cavernosum during sexual excitement. Nitric oxide then activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase, which results in increased level of cGMP. This produces relaxation of smooth muscles in corpus cavernosum allowing blood inflow.
