• Allergic and inflammatory conditions:
    • Adults:
      • PO 1-2 tabs QID (not to exceed 8 tablets a day)
    • 6-12 years:
      • PO half a tablet TDS (not to exceed 4 tablets a day)
      • PO 2.5mL TDS (max 10mL per day)
    • 2-6 years:
      • PO 1-2.5mL TDS (max 10mL per day)

Betamethasone 0.25mg

Dexchlorpheniramine maleate 2mg

To be taken at meals and at bedtime.

Betamethasone: glucocorticoid receptor agonist. It controls the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes thereby controlling inflammation.

Dexchlorpheniramine: H1 receptor antagonist. It competes for H1 receptors in blood vessels, respiratory tract and GI tract. It is twice as effective as chlorpheniramine.
